#ctfwest - rules and requirements!
Requirements:
- Any IRC program like mIRC
- Quake ]|[ Arena version 1.32
- Latest version of OSP
- Threewave maps
- high/low binds and a bind for kill (example)
Rules
- Always stay the entire match!
- Try to be on the server within 5 minutes. If you cant play, then your replacement should be on the server before the 5 minute deadline.
- If you _must_ leave, it's considered common decency to paste "need 1 @ ip pass" in #ctfwest
- Don't mock newcomers - HELP them! (if they have read the rules)
- Be nice to each other during and after the game
- If anyone breaks the rules and one of the opped is available, then it's punished with a temporary ban.
Game procedure
- Join the channel and type !add to be added to the next game, if you have to leave, part the channel or type !remove and you will be removed from the topic.
- When the topic is full, everyone joins the designated server.
- Unalias immediately, and put spec in your name if speccing. It's alot easier to see if someone is missing and will get the game going quicker
- Everyone spectates and two team captains are assigned; try to pick two players fairly equal skill wise and that know the other players so that they can make adequate team picks
- The captains /kill, wait for 100/100 and then pummel
- The winner can choose between:
a) Pick the first player
b) Allow the loser to pick first player, in return for the choice of 2 players on his first turn.
- The pummelers take turns choosing the remaining players, and when none are left the map is chosen
